Andrea Delgado “Andra” was a beloved sister, cousin and aunt during her incredible 97 years of life. She passed away peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was born November 30,1926 in Matthews, Tx to the late Sirilo and Piedad Duran Delgado.
Andrea spent most of her life caring for her parents and sister Abigail till their deaths. She was a devoted Catholic and longtime member of Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church. You could always find her at church serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector or getting the church cleaned on Saturday mornings. Andrea loved to sew, crochet, bake and play bingo- traveling to Coushatta or sitting at her table at the nursing home waiting for bingo to start. She had the kindest heart and was so helpful to all in need.
She is survived by her sisters Mary Valles and Eloísa Delgado of Eagle Lake, Brothers
Ponciano Delgado of Lissie and Moises Delgado of Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carlos Delgado, Manuel Delgado and David Delgado and sister Abigail Delgado. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
Visitation will be held at Eagle Lake Funeral Home from 5-7pm. Rosary begins at 7 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held at Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church in Eagle Lake on Friday, February 23, 2024 starting at 10 am with Father Robert Guerra officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Delgado Jr., John Delgado, Albert Delgado, Ponciano Delgado Jr.,
Jeremy Gonzales and Paul Valles.
