Curtis Wade Tate, 69, of Eagle Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Victoria, Texas with family by his side. A lifelong resident of Eagle Lake, he was born on April 28, 1955, to Frank Coleman Tate and Margie Ann Perry Tate. He spent his life ranching and raising cattle. He had a love for fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann Tate, a sons Buck Wade Tate and fiance Alexandria Pierce, Colt Wilson and wife Tiffany, Dusty Henry; sisters Sandy Schneider and husband Leon, and Penny Henske and husband Mike, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 2 – 3 PM, followed by a Funeral Service starting at 3 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1220 Pecan Valley Road, Alleyton, Texas 78935.
The pallbearers will be Larry Supak, Dale Delling, Harvey Foster, Bennie Zychek, Logan Meitzen, and Paul Vasut.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Boza, Colton Boaz, Justin Gordon, Dan Clinton, Cody Moore and Jimmy Perry.
Heavenly Pallbearers will be Wesley Duncan, and H. L. Austin.
In lieu of usual remembrances donation may be made in Curtis’s name to the Rice Medical Center, 600 South Austin Road, Eagle Lake, TX 77434 or Eagle Lake Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 38, Eagle Lake, TX 77434
