Hortencia Guerrero

Hortencia Flores Gurrero was born in Eagle Lake, Texas on March 31, 1948 and died on March 24, 2024 at the age of 75 few days before turning 76 years old.

She was the second child born to the late Julian Flores, Sr. and Esperanza Amaro Flores.

She went to school in Eagle Lake, Texas graduated from Eagle Lake High. After graduation moved to Houston to start her career. She worked at Texas Instrument then at Globes department Store after a few years she started working for Houston Independent School District worked there till she retirement. After retirement she remained in Houston until she suffered a stroke in 2014 then went back and forth to Houston. Finally returning back to live in Eagle Lake, Texas due to her illness she went to live at Arbor Hills Rehab where she died.

Hortencia is survived by her older brother Julian Flores, Jr. and wife Dorothy, sister, Oralia Torres and younger brother Arthur and wife Patricia and many nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Garret Flores, Luther Cole, Adrian Flores, Bruno Flores, DeVon Jarvis and Francisco Vazquez
