It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Rae Kucera, who left us on October 5, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on April 23, 1966, Jamie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose life was marked by kindness, dedication, and love.
Jamie was a devoted Social Worker at Arbor Hills, where she touched numerous lives with her compassion and commitment to helping others. Her journey in social work began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston, followed by a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wyoming. Jamie's professional legacy is one of unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those she served.
Outside of her career, Jamie found joy in spending time with her cherished grandchildren, indulging in her favorite pastime of shopping at James Avery Jewelers, and traveling to view eclipses of the sun. Her warmth, smile, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband, Jody Kucera; her children, Christopher (Melissa) Kucera, Alex (Wesly) Arrison, and JJ Kucera, and her precious grandchildren, Elora Kucera, Elliott Kucera, Kyla Arrison, Everly Arrison, and Maverick Arrison. She also leaves behind her mother, Tommy Tidemann; her stepmother, Janis Tidemann; and her sisters, Katie Lowe and Josie Tidemann.
Jamie was predeceased by her father, Arlen Ray Tidemann; her brother, Todd Allen Tidemann; and her four grandparents, Alvin and Margaret Eager and Vorice Walter “Frosty” and Ione Tidemann.
Jamie's memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire us all.
Visitation with family will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Eagle Lake Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service for Jamie at 11:00 am. The address of Eagle Lake Funeral Home is 607 N. McCarty Ave., Eagle Lake, TX 77434.
