Melchor "Tony" Rodriguez

It is with great sadness that the family of Melchor “Tony” Rodriguez announce his passing on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the age of 88. 

Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Marina Rodriguez; and children - Elva Rodriguez; Guadalupe Rodriguez and spouse, Patricia; Lina Ferguson and spouse, Chris; Sandra Rodriguez and spouse, Michael. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren - Samantha Castro, Kassidy Wishert, Martin Ramirez, Jr., Dylan Ferguson, Alixandra Svrcek, Hailey Ferguson, Liliana Lares-Rodriguez, Summer Castro, Marco Ramirez; and great grandchildren - Lyla, Willa & Luke Ferguson; Bryce Castro; Kash & Riverlyn Wishert; Brailynn, Elias, Maevry & Elian Ramirez; Elsie, Rai’lynn, and Marlee Ramirez; and Baby Svrcek.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beautiful daughter, Elsa Ramirez.

Tony was a man of faith who loved God, being outdoors, and tending to the needs of his home. Many may recall seeing him at his daughter’s home, cultivating her garden to ensure her flowers continued to bloom. Or perhaps he was seen taking his beloved pets, Bella and Louie, for walks around town. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and determination.

May his memory be a blessing to all and may we carry forth his legacy of love and hard work in everything we do.

Visitation will begin at 5PM on Sunday, March 9 at Eagle Lake Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6PM.

Funeral mass will be at 10AM on Monday, March 10 at Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Ferguson, Martin Ramirez, Jr., Marco Ramirez, Michael Delgado, Chris Ferguson, and Samuel Castro, Honorary Pallbearer: Guadalupe Rodriguez
