Nancy Somerville Seaholm, 88, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, in Kyle, Tx.
She was born February 28, 1933, in Austin, Tx to Doris Barron Somerville Beaven and Alfred A. Somerville.
Nancy grew up in San Marcos, Tx and graduated from San Marcos High School at the age of 16. She attended Southwest Texas State University for two years.
She married Carl W. Seaholm, Jr. of Eagle Lake, on October 7, 1951.
When her husband was discharged from the Army in 1953, the couple returned to Eagle Lake. Nancy lived in Eagle Lake for the next 50 years, where she was active in her community and in the Eagle Lake United Methodist Church. She was a wonderfully creative person. She played the piano beautifully and gave piano lessons for almost 50 years. She was also a talented artist. Many of her paintings won awards at area art shows.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Carl W. Seaholm, Jr. and her son Carl W. Seaholm III.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Twyla Seaholm of Kyle, Tx; Granddaughters Jennifer Seaholm Saunders of Selma and Brittany Seaholm of Austin; and great-grandson Jackson Dean Saunders; brothers and sisters-in-law Dudley and Brenda Beaven of Montgomery; and John and Katie Beaven of San Antonio; nephew and nieces and a great niece and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at Lakeside Cemetery. Pastor Katherine McCorkle of Eagle Lake United Methodist Church will officiate the ceremony.
