Patrick Mark Mascheck

Long time Eagle Lake resident Patrick (Pat) M. Mascheck, 71, died December 27, 2024, at TruCare Living Center in Columbus, Texas.

Pat was born September 7, 1953, in Eagle Lake, Texas, to Victor and Vlasta Mascheck. 

Pat attended Eagle Lake schools and was a graduate of Rice High School. He continued his education at Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. His favorite jobs through the years involved cars – both selling and maintaining them.

Pat loved classic rock music, concerts and live theater. His favorite bands included Pink Floyd and the Beatles. He owned several sports cars over the years. A couple of his cars were orange in honor of the Eagle Lake Eagles.

Pat was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to cook and was very fond of cats. 

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wilcox Mascheck of Eagle Lake; sister, Lucy Gilmore; brother, Carl (Marchell) Mascheck; niece Vickie (spouse – Daniel, children Skylar and Blake) Lucas, step-daughters, Jennifer (children Austin and Max) Martinez, Amanda (spouse – Jason, children Taylor, Christopher and Aria) Higgins and Theresa Johnson (child Kylie); and sister-in-law Melissa Wilcox (Lee) Trigg, along with many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Vlasta Mascheck; sister, Cynthia Randall; infant brother, Victor Mascheck; brother-in-law, Jerry Gilmore; great-nephew Blaine Jones; and lifelong friend, David Hengst (Junior).

A Memorial Service will be held at Eagle Lake Funeral Home on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the ASPCA or the Eagle Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
